Von Cello is the main website of Aaron Minsky (Von Cello), arguably the most influential pioneer of rock cello. The growing acceptance of the cello in popular music can largely be  traced to Aaron’s creation of an innovative guitar-based cello style ("celtar") going back to 1975. He continues to expand the audience for classical music by blurring the lines between the genres. Many cellists (and other instrumentalists) have grown up on his music books, concerts, recordings and videos. In this site you can explore his musical history and hear, see and buy his music. You can also get acquainted with his ideas, concepts, and sense of humor.
