Steven Marcus is NOT a carcass

Hey Steve, I have to say, of all my friends from Canarsie you are the one who has done more to help publicize Von Cello and I really do appreciate that. I get notifications about new pages that mention Von Cello and Aaron Minsky and I sometimes see a page that you created or a place where you made a post. I always smile.

Stu Troyetsky just threw a Bat Mitzvah for his daughter. For the first time I was not invited to a family occasion. I may be reading more into it than I should but I think that is a sign that in his mind I am no longer a close friend. In truth we don't keep in touch much. Everything he ever said to me about Von Cello was negative anyway. I take that as a kind of jealousy. Often friends don't want to see another succeed or get beyond where they are. It is great when you find the real friends who are happy at the success of another. Even when I was dirt poor I was always happy when I saw a friend get a nice car or buy a house or get a good break. I would never put anyone down for trying something. Even if I didn't like what they did I would encourage them and say, "Hey keep up the good work!"

So, in conclusion, I feel that you are not a carcass after all.

The End.

You post links of random letters like:
And when I click on them they do not go anywhere.
What's the point?

Or are you making a statement about the futility of life?

2 celli

How I found them? Good question. I can't retrace my steps anymore, but - there's another vid where they play a contemporary duet.

Charming, delightful ... these are words that American rock fans never use, but they really describe that piece and the performance. How did you find it?

I noticed that one of the cellists studied with Harvey Shapiro. I spent a summer studying with him too.

Welcome back to the block!

Hey Canarsie!

I don't know what you tried to post. Just put in the site with the http:// and it will automatically become a link.

Thanks for giving my video with the doggie a good rating. Whenever you get a chance to go to any of my videos please do the same. The youtube rating system is bogus but I suppose more people come to highly rated videos. And a lot of my spoken ones get low ratings just because people disagree with what I say, or don't like to hear a different point of view.

Perhaps the most bizarre site yet!

This is possibly the most bizarre page I ever saw that mentioned Aaron Minsky!

Grateful Cello

Someone came up to me at the show and said, "There is a girl who strums her cello like a guitar. You should see her. She is amazing." I didn't have the heart to explain to him that I invented that style 35 years ago and this girl probably learned it from watching me!

Whow, it's way too silent here. Note to self: you also disappeared!

Yes, I know some recordings of Isserlis, in fact he played here not too long ago, but missed it. He discovered the sheet music of an interesting clarinet trio and recorded it, by Carl Fruhling. So you attended his masterclass, Aaron - interesting. He also has a ... well, a really beautiful cello!

Guestbook is going to the dogs

A guy is driving around the back woods of Montana and he sees a sign in front of a
broken down shanty-style house: 'Talking Dog For Sale ' He rings the bell and the
owner appears and tells him the dog is in the backyard..

The guy goes into the backyard and sees a nice looking Labrador retriever sitting there.

'You talk?' he asks.

'Yep,' the Lab replies.

After the guy recovers from the shock of hearing a dog talk, he says
'So, what's your story?'

The Lab looks up and says, 'Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young.
I wanted to help the government, so I told the CIA. In no time at all they had me jetting
from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one
figured a dog would be eavesdropping.'

'I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running. But the jetting around
really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any younger so I decided to settle down.
I signed up for a job at the airport to do some undercover security, wandering near
suspicious characters and listening in. I uncovered some incredible dealings and was
awarded a batch of medals.'

'I got married, had a mess of puppies, and now I'm just retired.'

The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog.

'Ten dollars,' the guy says.

'Ten dollars? This dog is amazing! Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?'

'Because he's a liar. He never did any of that shit.

Try to remember ...

Couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things. The doctor tells them that they might want to start writing things down.

Later that night, the old man gets up from his chair. 'Want anything while I'm in the kitchen?' he asks.

'Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?'

'Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?' she asks.

'No, I can remember it.'

'Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it down, so
as not to forget it?'

He says, 'I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries.'

'I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, write it down?' she asks.

Irritated, he says, 'I don't need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!'

Then he toddles into the kitchen. After about 20 minutes,

The old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of fried salami and eggs. She stares at the plate for a moment.

'Where's my toast ?'

We're # 2! We're # 2!

Most people do not brag about being number two, but my Iron Man video, with over 5,000 hits on You Tube is about to become my # 2 most watched video. It came from the back of the pack to its current position in 8 short months. It is just 20 something views away from Von Cello Rules!. The Hendrix Star Spangled Banner into Purple Haze is still # 1 at over 13,000 views.

None of my spoken videos has gotten as many views but some have risen to the top of the list as far as comments. So, which is better ... to have more views or to have more comments?
