Ariel the Jewish girl
I don't quite get why he mentioned that she was a Jewish girl. I haven't heard any songs where they say "she was an Italian girl" or "she was a Buddhist girl". Of course there are those songs that are in jest like "Catholic Girls" by Zappa or that Billy Joel song about Virginia who was Catholic, but in that case he mentioned it because he didn't want her religion to keep them from "having fun". But rarely is there a song about a guy who is falling in love with a girl where the religion or ethnicity is mentioned. Any ideas as to what he was trying to say?
