Jerry would be proud...
Tonight Cel-Tar played a concert for the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City. We played a Dead tune and a guy walked by and said, "Jerry would be proud". Later he walked over again and mentioned that he used to be the Grateful Dead's stage manager!

Goodbye Whitney
I loved Whitney Houston's voice from the first time I heard her sing on the radio. I told people that she was special and was going to make it big. It is very sad that she, like so many others, had to leave this earth so early. Talent is definitely a blessing and a curse.
Perhaps her biggest hit was "The Greatest Love of All". I wrote my own answer to that song. It is called "Show Me the Way". Here it is performed on the Sid Bernstien Show by Tonya Carmen and my 80's band Smooth Groove:

A couple of young female cellists do a great job with my cello duets along with a guitarist who created his own part! A great example of cross-cultural fertilization.
